The summer of 2019 is when the idea of renovating our existing cottage became a reality here at Irishtown House.
We made our second trip to Worcester Premier Charollais Sheep Sales and booked our self catering accommodation with Chris and Mark. Enjoying the freedom of the stay, meeting wonderful people and getting to know the locality and thus the seed was sown.
The renovation was a labour of love and would not have been possible but for the wonderful work of our team.
A special thanks to: Ralph Kelleghan Groundsman, Darren Dukie Tyrell, Building Contractor, Jimmy Monaghan Stonemason, Paul Reynolds Electrical, Lorcan Kilmurray Pro Plumb, Finian Whelehan Knockdrin Joinery, Michael Nolan Painting and Decorating.

Following on from the success of The Stables we decided to renovate the adjoining cottage. Completing the renovation project in 10 weeks. Finishing on Monday 14th of September 2020. One year to the day of our starting date of The Stables. Again it would not have been possible, but for the professional and dedicated work of the same team of people who have continually provided high quality workmanship. Our aim for The Cottage is to provide a luxury retreat which affords a slice of country living on modern terms with peace and tranquility on the outskirts of Mullingar. The style of both The Stables and The Cottage are similar, but we tried to make both individual and special in their own way.
