The summer of 2017 is when the idea of renovating our existing cottage became a reality here at Irishtown House.
We made our second trip to Worcester Premier Charollais Sheep Sales and booked our self catering accommodation with Chris and Mark. Enjoying the freedom of the stay, meeting wonderful people and getting to know the locality and thus the seed was sown.
The renovation was a labour of love and would not have been possible but for the wonderful work of our team.
Irishtown House was featured on The Independent Weekend Travel by Nicola Brady in an article titled “25 creative staycations: Beat the crowds (and high prices) with these innovative home-holiday ideas”.
“This beautiful stable conversion opened last year, and looks like it’s straight out of a Nancy Meyers movie. Filled with light and gorgeous little fixtures, this is a place where you can forget all about the piles of laundrey and broken doorknobs at home. While they don’t accommodate children under 12, it’s proved a popular spot for families with teenagers, who head out on the Royal Canal Greenway or Derrymore Springs nearby.”
So where do i start !
